Winter Shoes...

So today I was talking to Lavonne about winter shoes. And I was happy to discover that someone else finds it to be a predicament like I do.

Until about the end of the September, I am on a steady rotation of flip-flops, flats, TOMS and converse. Then suddenly it starts raining every day, and you are looking at your shoe rack, wondering "what now?".

I wonder if I can carry on with the TOMS and the flats. But I might need socks, because its the winter and bare feet get cold. And then I can't determine whether that is lame or not. So, of course there are boots. But some days you don't want half your leg covered in shoe.

So what do you do? Just let your feet get cold in your summer shoes, or is there some type of shoe that I am missing here?

Let me know what you think.

And also, expect more random posts like this. We've had some crazy developments this week (perhaps another post is in order), and now I have much more alone musing time on my hands.

I have a few pair of low boots that don't cover much of you leg & you can wear them under your jeans. They are my favourite for the rain & I wear them most of the wet season. I can't handle having cold, wet feet from shoes that aren't water proof.

I've got a good pair of leather shoes I wear non-stop. Sometimes I just don't look that cool and wear trainers, because hey- they keep me warm and dry, and who knows... I might have to break out in a run at any moment.

Did you buy a pair of Camper boots in Spain like I told you to? That would really solve your problem here...and they wouldn't have to be a high boot, Camper makes lots of great boots in a variety of heights. And the great thing about investing in a decent pair of boots (or 3 :) is that you can take them to the cobbler at the end of the winter, and b/c Camper's are made of lovely real leather, the cobbler can spruce them up to look like new. No kidding!

winter shoes are the worst. i just want to wear socks and all cute shoes seem to be sockless. but what do i need cute shoes for? i'm a mom who wears nothing but jeans so i wear cute casual runner-y type shoes 24/7. i'm forever on a hunt for the right boots though...
