I am not going to lie.
I don't know what to blog anymore.
I mean, I went to Europe, and I posted stories, and they were very dramatic. We visited foreign countries, saw unreal sights, met up with friends, jumped out of trains (okay, Brenda jumped out of trains, but the blog told the story). And now, here we are.
So, I keep thinking "what will be the first post?". What could be epic enough to follow up Europe? And then I realized, nothing will be. So, I am going to post about Mandarin Oranges, in an attempt to salvage the whole blogging process. I won't lie to you. I have been on facebook for the past twenty minutes, and it provided me with nothing more, so I came here. I don't know why that is. But there are some things for which blogs are better, and one is this, random thoughts:
Why are all my mandarin oranges so small this year?
Yes, I know, it was my facebook status, so its old news. Let me just explain though. When I was a kid, I couldn't even finish a mandarin orange. Now, I have to eat two. I don't know if this is a classic case of things looking different on the 'other side' of childhood. Or, are they actually getting smaller? I seriously want to know. Your thoughts please. Let's try this blogging thing again shall we?

Well here's my thought... I like the mandron oranges small - the reason being that if I do eat two, I feel like I did my body a good deed in eating more produce (even though I realize I would not really be eating any more since the oranges are smaller), but the falsity of it makes me feel better. Now, how ridiculous is that?
I spelt the word mandarin (mandron - yikes) wrong. Just thought I'd let you all know I am aware and I'm not a complete idiot.
I agree that they do seem smaller - well at least the box that I bought yesterday. And instead of eating 2 I ate one and a cookie instead...not the healthiest option.
Hurray!
but wait...have you not considered that you your hands and mouth are larger than when you were a kid? the oranges are the same size you crazies.
No I think they are smaller - people didn't like having so many seeds in them so they are gradually breeding them without so many seeds, (same as they are doing with watermelons)and that strain of manadarins also happens to give smaller fruit.
I'm just making this answer up but I think it is a reasonable explanation. I make up good answers all the time - just ask Rebecca.
