Welcome Back John...

Friends, you are going to want to listen to this album.

I think Mayer sort of lost it on "Heavier Things". Then, something happened and he came back. I got the "first listen" with him discussing his new songs, and I had to listen to it straight through. I liked it so much, that I actually bought the album. This is a rare occurrence. The man has a way of describing the quarter life crisis, that just fits.

Get in car, let the rain overwhelm you, then put this on.
I am telling you, it’s just perfect.

So did you catch the season premier of CSI last night? Well, John Mayer was on! He sang a song about waiting for the world to change. I have to admit that I haven't really tuned in to what he's been doing lately, but he is amazing live, very talented musician.

Also, b/c I've been not so up to speed on your posts, I thought I'd comment on your "4th year" post. For starters, I think you are going to be an amazing teacher. I remember back to being in high school, when we'd have a younger teacher, and it just felt different and new with teh teach being all fired up and not so jaded as those who had been at it for 20 years. You still have this year and PDP to continue to warm to the idea of being a teacher full time. Sounds like you have 3 more hikes to continue in your contemplation!

love you lots!
